Head Height Adjustment

To ensure that you are using your Tilt Head Beater at its best, use this simple guide to adjust the head height on your tilt head mixer.

  1. Check how your beater is connecting with the bottom of the bowl. To do this you will need a flat head screwdriver and a coin.

  2. Place the coin in the base of the bowl. Turn your mixer on. If the coin touches the beater and you can hear it, the beater is set too low. If, however, your beater is not touching the coin, then you will need to lower the height of your beater, as it is set too high.

  3. Turn off the mixer, lift the mixer head and remove the beater, where you will see the adjusting screw.

  4. Using the screwdriver, turn the adjusting screw anti-clockwise slowly, this will raise the head of the beater. Turn the screw 1/2 turn at a time, until the beater touches the coin at the base.

  5. The mixer can be adjusted approx. 30mm in height. Each full anti-clockwise turn will raise the head approx. 4.5mm. Turn clockwise to lower the head by the same distance.
